Ridiculously Easy Art and Craft Ideas for the Mid-Autumn Festival

Making crafts is one of the best ways to teach children about culture. Did you know that the Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most celebrated Chinese festival (after Chinese New Year)! I think its popularity has much to do with the yummy mooncakes and the adorable moon rabbit. 

The following Mid-Autumn crafts are pretty and ridiculously easy to make at home with basic art and craft materials.

Basic Chinese Lantern

It really comes down to colour combination. You can’t go wrong with red and gold! In our case, we used red and yellow to make the colours pop.
