It’s December. Which means it’s time to get the Christmas tree, hang those beautiful glittery ornaments up and sing some Merry Christmas tunes!
This year, I have been incorporating more music into my Mandarin Homeschool as my two girls love to sing and dance, while my son likes to drum to his own beat (my own little drummer boy).

Chinese Christmas Music for Children
This Christmas, we are learning these four songs for Christmas. They are English favourites translated into Chinese.

- We wish you a Merry Christmas 我们祝你圣诞快乐
- O, Christmas Tree 噢，圣诞树
- Tis’ the season to be jolly迎圣诞
We watched the video by Little Fox Chinese and I printed out the full lyrics for my children to sing along to. My children have progressed so much in their Chinese reading the past year that they picked up the songs super quickly. (Want to know what books we read? For readers who have never heard of the Little Fox Chinese Youtube channel, you should subscribe to them now. They are not as cutesy (and hence, not as annoying) as Baby Bus. There are Chinese readers video, educational topic videos and basic Chinese language explanation videos aimed at young children.
You can download the full lyrics on the members page. Just sign up and you can gain access to it. I am constantly adding more Chinese resources, as my children are constantly learning!!

Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be many Chinese Christmas music Albums available for children specifically. These are the ones I have found and enjoyed. (For the life of me, I cannot bear to listen to 小蓓蕾组合!! Listen to them at your own risk, you have been warned…）

Chinese Christmas Podcast
As my children’s Chinese language skills grow stronger, I have been exposing them to little podcasts episode.
One of which we like is 心藍姊姊說故事. She has a special album on why the reasons why we celebrate Christmas the way we do.
Chinese Christmas Music for Adults
One way I personally maintain my own level of Chinese is through songs. Some of my favourite Chinese singers are Faye Wong, Eason Chan, Jay Chou, Sodagreen, Mayday and Stephanie Sun. I love my Spotify account where I can listen to them even in Australia.
